Birth Doula Profile - Samin Charepoo, MassHealth Provider

My passion for birth and maternal health began when I was a teenager. I was in awe of the strength and resilience of birthing people and thought for many years that I might go into medicine. But as I learned more about birth work, I realized what drew me in most wasn’t the medical side of things, but the unique, steady, and compassionate support that doulas bring to families. That’s where my heart has always been.
With a degree in Data Science and Neuroscience, as well as an extensive background in ballet, I bring both a love of learning and a deep respect for the mind–body connection into my doula work. Alongside birth work, I spend time with an educational nonprofit that focuses on holistic education for children and families—an experience that continually reminds me that birth and parenting are about so much more than just the physical process; they’re about the whole person, the whole family, and the community surrounding them. In the birth space, I often bring my movement experience to help families connect to their bodies through breath, rhythm, and flow, finding comfort, strength, and confidence along the way.
Because birth rarely unfolds in a straight line, I see my role as being a steady presence at your side—offering encouragement, comfort, and clear guidance when choices arise. I’ve supported families across the full spectru m of births, and in every setting my goal is the same: to hold space for both the joys and the challenges, and to remind you that you are never alone in the process and your body was made for this beautiful journey.
For me, being a doula means walking alongside you—planning together, celebrating your strength, and supporting you through the twists and turns of labor and pre/post natal—so you feel empowered, cared for, and truly centered in your own birth story as you welcome new life into the world.
