Amaris Delgado - Birth Doula (MassHealth Provider)

My name is Amaris Delgado, and I am a mother of four, including a set of twins. By day, I am an aesthetician, but being a Birth Doula is my true calling.

From a young age, I was captivated by birth. My grandmother gave birth to 18 children, and while I didn’t fully grasp the magnitude of that as a child, I knew it was something extraordinary—especially knowing she did it all without pain medication. Her story sparked my fascination with the power of the human body and its incredible capabilities.

My first hands-on experience with birth came at just 16 years old when my sister invited me into the delivery room for the birth of my nephew. I remember it feeling instinctual offering her comfort, reassurance, and motivation, reminding her of her strength, and feeling immense pride in her. Witnessing that moment firsthand opened my eyes to the beauty of creation and the power of a woman’s body.

Years later, when I became a mother myself, my sister a Birth Doula herself was there to support me in return. My journey into motherhood has been transformative. I've experienced both distressing, medically necessary interventions and, through education and empowerment, a blissful, unmedicated VBAC—with twins! My personal experiences, combined with my professional training through DONA International, allow me to guide and support families through their own unique birth journeys.

I believe birth can be powerful, beautiful, and on your terms. Whether your preparing for a natural birth, medicated birth, cesarean or simply navigate this journey with confidence, I am here to support you every step of the way.
