Birth Doula Profile - Aliisa Gray
Aliisa is a professionally trained DONA International Birth + Postpartum Doula. She believes her role as a Doula is to be a calming presence of support and a source of knowledge. As a Doula, she is honored to be part of each woman's journey navigating pregnancy, birth and beyond. Her goal is to empower parents to feel confident in themselves as they integrate themselves into their changing lives.
As a passionate believer in equal accessibility to maternal care, Aliisa volunteers her services at Brigham and Women's & Mass General hospitals in partnership with the Birthing Gently Maternal Health Program, assisting women who would otherwise not have birthing support.
Currently, she is training in the sacred space where birth and bereavement meet. This is a speciality that provides mothers with unbiased emotional and physical support during the emotional and intimate labors that involve birth complications or loss.
Aliisa is a photographer, knitter, and yoga enthusiast that enjoys cooking for others. She cherishes time spent with her family, friends and the little ones she gets to hold.
