Birth Doula Profile - Stephanie Webbe

My journey into birth work began when I was a senior in high school. A close friend
became pregnant, and many around her turned away. She asked me to go to the gym with
her, but the only way I could join was by volunteering. That’s where my passion for
fitness—and ultimately for supporting mothers—was born. The more I worked alongside
women and children, the stronger my calling became.

In 2007, I became a birth sister through Boston Medical Center, dedicating myself to
learning and supporting pregnant mothers in need. As my career developed, I realized my
passion extended beyond fitness and into hands-on care. This led me to massage therapy,
where I continued my education to become a certified prenatal massage therapist.

At 20 years old, I became a mother myself. The process was not always easy, but
welcoming my daughter into the world at 21 was the greatest gift I could ever receive.
That experience deepened my empathy, understanding, and commitment to walking
alongside families on their journeys.

Today, my work reflects the many paths I’ve taken to be of service. In addition to being a
birth and postpartum doula, I am an outpatient therapist, a foster parent, and a CPR
instructor. I have also completed infant massage training, and I am studying to take the
Lamaze certification exam. Beyond that, I am finishing school to become a licensed
Funeral Director and Embalmer, while continuing advanced education in lactation and
other specialties that strengthen my ability to support families at every stage of life.

My goal has always been to live a well-rounded life of service—to meet people where
they are and help them through life’s most important transitions.
I truly believe in this: never give up on yourself or your vision. Parenthood doesn’t
prevent you from reaching your goals—if anything, it can enrich your journey. No matter
how difficult the road, you can do this.

I look forward to meeting you and being a part of your story.
