Marie has had a lifelong fascination with the miracle of pregnancy, birth, and babies.. Not only is a child born, but also parents are made, families are formed, and a love that one never knew existed emerges. Marie became a birth doula because she is passionate about supporting people during this special time in their lives. 

 

Marie’s goal is to help you feel empowered by meeting your specific needs and to help you have a satisfying birth experience. As a licensed massage therapist, Marie believes in the use of massage during labor to help relax your body.  During labor and delivery, she provides support physically with various comfort measures that include massage and various types of movement. Her calming demeanor provides emotional support with reassurance, encouragement, and education. She has supported women during natural childbirth, epidurals, inductions and both unplanned and scheduled cesarean sections (c-sections).  

 

Marie resides in Exeter, New Hampshire. She had three natural births and an augmented, medicated birth. She has also experienced three first trimester miscarriages. Marie possesses deep compassion and understanding for women and families that have experienced fertility issues and loss. Her compassionate personality and love for people enables Marie to be an effective communicator. She finds this very helpful when she connects with mothers as they develop a birth plan together.
