Hello! I'm Lismari, and I'm so pleased to be part of the childcare specialist program at Birthing Gently!

At a young age I learned that taking care of others came naturally to me as I stepped up to take care of my mom who had stage 4 colon cancer that quickly spread.

I am a graduate from Haverhill high school, class of 2020. I was among the first graduating class from the Healthcare Occupations program. While participating in this program I completed my Basic Life support CPR/ First Aid certification, and Dementia training. In this program I was offered many opportunities including working doing my clinical hours at Hannah Duston, where I was able to help patients with their activities of daily living including feeding, bathing, dressing, monitoring vital signs and documentation.

During my high school career, I was a 4-year varsity athlete and captain of my volleyball team, where I received MVP player of the week in the Boston globe and first team all-conference 3 years consecutively. I am a freshman in nursing school with the future goal of being a Neonatal Nurse practitioner.  I have experience with newborns and children of all ages. I have been working in the public school system for many years now. I have also worked with Haverhill Public Schools as a Health Assistant in making sure that the schools are a safe place for students and staff to return to during this worldwide pandemic. I am very organized and work well under pressure, so handling more than one child at a time comes easy for me.

I am taking clients late afternoon, evenings and weekends.  Daytime services will also be available in the summer.  I look forward to meeting you!
