Postpartum Doula Profile - Anna Clarke

Anna is a CAPPA-trained post partum doula with five years of experience helping families transition to parenthood. She is also a full time attorney in the public sector and a mother of ten year old twins. Anna decided to train as a post partum doula after she went through a period of post partum depression after her twins were born. In months following her twins’ arrival, she came to understand and appreciate the value of both mental and physical support upon arrival of a little one(s) and the challenges that lack of such support presents to new mothers. That experience motivated her to get involved with the doula community and obtain her post partum doula certification in 2017. Anna has worked with multiple families and has experience caring for twins.
Anna recognizes that, due to the distances that often separate families, support from the family in the postpartum period can be spotty. As a post partum doula, she sees her role as being a listener, guide, resource, and caregiver. She consistently seeks training and educational opportunities to enhance her knowledge and skills as a doula.
Anna has two cats and two dogs and loves working with families who have pets. She is fluent in Russian and speaks some German. She is looking to provide overnight and weekend assistance to families in Central Massachusetts.
