Birth Doula Profile - Priscilla Young

Priscilla Young

I have been interested in birth and babies for as long as I can remember. I consider it a great privilege and honor to be invited to a labor and birth. My goal as a doula is to provide uninterrupted support for the laboring mother and her family. I provide emotional, physical, and informational assistance for all aspects of pregnancy and birth. I trained with ALACE in 2002. After my training, I started working as a doula with the PACE labor study out of Brigham and Women’s hospital and MGH. In late 2004 my family and I moved to Oregon. While in Oregon I volunteered with a group called Doulas Supporting Teens. In spring of 2008 we moved back to Massachusetts. My husband James and I have three children, two of which were born at home.
